I was shocked to know that some goons have taken over a fertile land of a poor farmer and converted it to a racing track. They went to the extent of feeding all the standing crop to the cattle to make way.

I called up the Collector, who was not in the office. Called the Resident Collector, he too was not in office. Called the Deputy Collector.  Explained him in details the High Court order and the state of the farmer. He assured me of action.

I followed it up to the Sub Divisional Officer and the Deputy SP of the area. All assured me that the races will be prevented by all means.

I wish the officers keep up their words.

Spent rest of the day writing letters on various small cases. Also got Mrs Maneka Gandhi write back to the PCMC on better implementation of Animal Birth Control.
