“For 14 years I have been working for animals and I was doing just everything on my own, but the voices of my supporters is getting louder and louder for me to set up an hospital. And I just wish that I would be just an anchor the project, this will be truly be run by all the members organization and individuals together. Its their baby, I am just  acting a grandpa there”

Senior office holders of PETA India, Poona SPCA, The Animal Farm, RESQ Trust and The Blue Cross Society in their individual capacity have expressed delight over the announcement of the project.
The team is headed by Manoj Oswal an animal welfare officer from AWBI and Supriya Bose who managed the Bombay SPCA for over a decade. The veterinary team will work under guidance of Sheila D’wan a British veterinary working for animals in India for 20 years.
The hospital will have well scientifically  animal enclosures, x-ray equipment, sonography machines, modern operation theater.  Two ambulances shall be put into service catering to small and large animals.
The proposed hospital will be set up in Kondhwa in the land donated by two businessmen and the BDB Foundation has promised to sponsor the medical equipment. Every aspect of the hospital shall be designed from animals perspective. Expertise gained by Dr Supriya and Dr Sheila at the RSPCA London shall be put to best use here.
There will be separate wings for law enforcement, veterinary camps and sensitizing animal users like horse, donkey and cattle owners.
Karuna Mandir shall help rehabilitation of large animals and act as a care-center if an animal can not be released back where they were brought from.
“For next 4 months we shall focus on raising funds… 50-60 lakh rupees is a tough target but I really wish to make this donation to come from hundreds of individuals rather than large corporate donors” In the next 4 months after that we expect the hospital to be ready.
