Staying at the circuit house.
I have always avoided taking any of the facilities available to me as a government officer. However, I do realize that there are times when I must assert my rights and ensure I am taken seriously.
About three years ago, when I had got enquiry initiated against some forest officers for corruption, I was extremely delighted to able to go into the circuit house… a place only for the top government officers and elected representatives.
I decided to stay in the Circuit House this time. The Circuit House is the hotel type accommodation for senior government officers who are on official visit to other cities/town. A system put in place by the British and is a phenomenal idea.
It was a fantastic experience to have MLAs and very senior government officers for company. It equally enhanced my image in eyes of the officers and reporters I was dealing with.
