The Businessman
“Those who know technology don’t understand business. Those who know real life business can’t make sense out of technology… this is the greatest paradox of this century”
I am in business because I understand both. I know that while technology is a great enabler, time and resource conserving tool, but it is not the end in itself. Most technology ‘gurus’ miss this point, they prefer hype over substance, technology over business truths. And no wonder why most hyped technologies fail, while most primitive but well designed thought and practical technologies change the world… slowly but steadily.
I started my journey into the business world when I was 17 years old I have had an absolute exciting business life. Irrespective of what revenues my companies make or what profits I achieve. For me, my achievement is counted on the number of new and exciting things I do every few months.
01 Synergy group is composed of several units spread across India and the world. The key development and BPO centers in India are in Pune, Delhi and Ludhiana. We also have a small java development unit in Mumbai. Each of the unit is more or less independent business unit with an independent director handling the unit.
Our overseas subsidiaries are in the United Kingdom, Canada and The Netherlands. Our subsidiary in the US opened up in June 2009.
My key achievements as a businessman has been…
- Success in solving complex problems in tight budgets using ground breaking ideas.
- Offering absolute countable returns in exchange of the contract fee charged
- Winning several prestigious awards for our clients in the European new media industry for innovative use of technology.
- A regular exhibitor at the world’s largest ICT trade fair, CEBIT for over 5 years. Also exhibiting regularly at Internet World, Outsource World and other fairs.
- Representing India at several trade delegations in United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Netherlands and Latin America.
- Having intensively travelled across the continent in rapid meetings. My typical trip covers 18 cities in 20 days. Hoping trains, buses and flights everyday and mostly spending day on meetings and nights in travelling.
- Having the honour of meeting several ministers of trade promotion of various countries and counties. Even honoured some ministers in their countries by tying them Rajastani pagdi I carried from here.
When I say, I am a passionate businessman. I do not relate that to passion to make a lot of money. It is about the passion to make the best of the opportunity as a businessman and enjoy the experience of testing the limits of what can be achieved as a relatively small business unit.
What also makes my business so satisfying is the fact that the customers I work for, really love me for what I am. Honest, straight forward and ready to work hard.
